The UA-45 Universal Home Phone Amplifier turns almost any corded landline phone into a loud, clear one — without replacing it. It connects inline between your phone's handset and base and boosts the incoming voice by up to 45 dB (30 dB standard; press Boost for 45 dB). Unlike ordinary amplifiers, its Digital Sound Processing (DSP) actively removes the distortion, echo, and static that louder volume usually adds — so you hear more, not just louder.
Digital Tone Enhancement lifts the speech frequencies that are hardest for you to hear, and Automatic Gain Control smooths out the volume as callers' voices change — no constant wheel-adjusting. A 6-position compatibility switch (plus a bypass) lets you dial in the best match for your specific phone model.
Power comes from a standard 9V alkaline battery (not included), which lasts 6–12 months thanks to auto shut-off after 8–15 seconds with no voice. The optional AC adapter (sold separately) eliminates batteries altogether. Installation takes about a minute — unplug the handset cord from the base, plug both ends into the UA-45, and you're done.
