The HD-60 is a corded landline telephone built around High-Definition Sound (HDS) technology, amplifying incoming calls up to 600 times — 55+ dB — the most powerful amplification in its class. If a standard amplified phone still is not enough, this is the one to reach for.
A selectable digital tone setting boosts the particular speech frequencies you have trouble hearing, so words become intelligible again rather than simply louder. Digital Sound Processing removes the distortion, echo and static that ordinary amplified phones introduce as you turn the volume up.
A 95+ dB ringer with adjustable volume and tone, plus two visual ring flashers on the front and the side, mean you will not miss a call from another room. Twelve one-touch memory buttons sit beside a large, brightly backlit keypad, and an off-hook alert warns you audibly and visually if the handset is left off the hook.
The handset is hearing-aid compatible, and a 3.5 mm jack connects a neck loop, tele-coil or other assistive listening accessory. It runs on the included AC adapter, with four AA batteries — not included — providing backup during a power outage.
