The HD-40P is a corded landline phone built for people living with vision loss, hearing loss, or memory challenges. Big, high-contrast buttons and a simple layout make it easy to use at a glance, while nine photo memory buttons let you load a portrait and dial a family member or care provider with a single touch.
Incoming calls are amplified up to 26 dB — far beyond a standard phone — with four tone presets (T1–T4) that shift the amplification toward the frequencies that suit your hearing best. An 85 dB ringer with front and side ring flashers means you'll never miss a call, even across the room.
The HD-40P is powered entirely by the phone line, so it keeps working during a power outage — no batteries, no AC adapter required (an optional adapter is sold separately). It also features a hands-free speakerphone, electronic hold, redial, and full T-coil / hearing-aid compatibility.
Requires a standard analog phone line. Not compatible with digital, VoIP, or business phone systems (such as MagicJack). On a DSL line, simply add an inexpensive DSL filter at the jack.
