Q: What type of batteries do I need for the CA-PX

A: Install 3-AAA rechargeable batteries (NiMH). For optimal performance, it is recommended that the batteries be replaced once a year

Q: How many accessories can the CA-PX support?

A: The CA-PX can support up to 10 Remote Receivers (CA-RX), 10 Personal Pagers (CA-PX), 10 Fire Alarm Sensors (CA-AX), 4 CA-SOS, 3 Baby Cry Monitors (CA-BX), 1 landline/cellphone sensor (CA-CX), and 1 NOAA sensor (CA-NOAA).

Q: I bought an extra doorbell or door knocker sensor, but it did not work. What do I need to do?

A: All new accessory devices must be learned or registered to the CA-PX unit (and CA-360 if used as the master unit) before they can be recognized or work.  See the rection in the manual for instructions as how to learn or register an accessory device.

Q: How do I clear all registered accessories form the cA-PX?

A: Press and release the Learn button at least 18 times in quick succession until it flashes, vibrates and sounds once (If speaker is on).

Q: Does CA-PX work with a CentralAlert CA-360 system?

A: Yes the CA-PX can be used as a remote receiver to a CentralAlert CA-360 master unit.  Follow the steps described in the CA-PX application section to complete the process.

Q: How far can the CA-PX be located from the CA-360?

A: About 150 feet in open space (metal insise a wall can reduce this distance).

Q: Can I place the CA-PX next to my Wi-Fi router?

A: No. Plese keep all other electronic equipment at least 5 feet away.

Q: Does the CA-PX offer a wireless signal repeater function?

A: Yes, CA-PX, CA-RX and CA-360 units offer a wireless repeater/relay function whereby each unit can re-broadcast the received wireless signals to other similar receivers.  This repeater function expands the coverage area of the entire system.
