Recently in the past years, rechargeable hearing aids technology has risen to popularity for various reasons that truly benefits their users. Disposable batteries typically need to be replaced frequently and expensive, typically one could spend over $100 a year on batteries alone. There are two types of rechargeable batteries which is silver-zinc and lithium-ion. The silver-zinc type of rechargeable battery has been made popular by the company ZPower. Typically, rechargeable hearing aids of both battery types take 3-4 hours for a full charge providing 24 hours usage per charge.
Easy to Use
The QDRY allows its users to dry and charge their hearing aids simultaneously. This item uses your preexisting silver-zinc or lithium-ion rechargeable hearing aid charges to charge your hearing aids while the being dried and sanitized in the unit’s drying chamber.
The unit is easily assembled by sliding open the bottom cover, then plugging your hearing aid’s charger into the USB port into the QDRY’S USB connection and at that time you would coil your charging cable into the bottom cover and close the cover back.
3 Modes of Drying
The QDRY offers 3 different drying cycles. The TURBO drying cycle is 30 minutes, which provide heating temperature as high as 118 F (48 C) The 2 hour and 4 hour drying cycle provides a similar performance to TURBO at a slightly lower temperature averaging at 110 F (43 C) for extended period designed for more humid environments. The unit also provides UV-C lights during the first eight minutes of each drying cycle for fast drying and disinfection followed by the selected temperature and periodic fan running during this time. The UV-C lights kill the bacteria that have build up on your rechargeable hearing aids.
The QDRY has a smart-button feature that remembers the drying time setting that was last used and will default to that setting and start the drying operation when you press that button. Once the unit has finished drying the LED light indicator will go off, so you will know exactly when your hearing aids are ready to go, however you are able to check the status without interrupting the drying process by opening the cover, the UV lights will temporarily auto shut down when the cover is open.
